ABOUT
Mr. Bolen is the founder of one the world's most popular contemporary jazz groups, Reverse Dunk. The band features internationally acclaimed musicians, Joel Clifft (keys) and Vlad Colesnicov (guitars). Through social media the band reached over 4 million people, amassed 210,000+ joyful fans who follow in more than 140+ countries. In 2020, he formed, Tobago Breeze, a steel drum fronted island spiced jazz, r&b, calypso, and latin flavored band that features an energetic percussion foundation and a cast of outstanding musicians including trumpeter, Tom Poole (Malo, Etta James, others). As a producer, Mr. Bolen has recently recorded four new CDs for the group. The releases are scheduled for Spring 2023. This group has about 50,000 followers.
Furthermore, he has performed at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Monterey Blues Festival, Britt Festival as well as with Grammy nominated artists like multi-platinum selling rock and jazz guitarist Craig Chaquico (Jefferson Starship) and singer songwriter Jack Johnson. In the contemporary jazz group, RazzaMoJazz, which David co-founded, he was joined with Grammy-Award winning saxist Brandon Fields (Tower of Power, Rippingtons), and famed guitarist Jeff Pevar (David Foster, David Crosby, Kenny Loggins, Ray Charles to name just a few). David has performed with many diverse acts such as Brazilian pop star Dandara (Montreaux Jazz Festival) as well as surf/country guitar legend Nokie Edwards (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group, The Ventures). As an opener, David has also shared the stage with superstar artists Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael McDonald, Maceo Parker, Rick Springfield, Gino Vannelli
and Peter Frampton. David performs with renown choral arranger, composer Dr. Kirby Shaw in the Jeffesrson State Choral Coalition. David's services have also been engaged with Americana roots singer/songwriter MATIA. Her band includes rock legends, Kenny Mazur(Robert Palmer), Steve Robbins (Robert Palmer, Irene Cara, Ashford & Simpson, Special EFX, many more) ,and Jon Woodhead (Leon Russel, Ace, Dave Koz). Other groups David performs with are light rock group, Jeff K & OverTones. You may have also seen him with R&B super group, Souliverse feat. musical director and keyboardist, John Taylor (Rick Astley, DeBarge, Expose, Cirque Du Soleil) or even with the classic rock group, The Rogue Suspects.

Mr. Bolen is also an award-winning author, speaker, and executive coach. His books have been published internationally. He has traveled worldwide and has lived in Africa and Europe.
